“The Full Monty” is a heartfelt musical that follows a group of unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York, who decide to put on a one-night-only strip show to earn some much-needed cash. Facing economic hardship and emasculating unemployment, they find empowerment and camaraderie as they prepare for their unconventional performance. Led by Jerry, who concocts the idea after seeing how successful a Chippendales show is, the group navigates through their own insecurities, relationships, and societal expectations, all while rehearsing for the big night. As they strip away their clothes, they also strip away their fears, revealing their vulnerabilities and reclaiming their sense of self-worth in a poignant and hilarious journey of self-discovery.
